Murder of British Soldier in Woolwich UK
January 11, 2014
On the afternoon of 22 May 2013, a British Army soldier, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was killed by two assailants near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London,[1][2][3] by two people who claimed they did this to avenge the killings of innocent Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Shaykh Dr. Umar Al-Qadri condemned this brutal attack in the Friday (Jumah) sermon and also raised his concerns about the media that portrayed this horrific attack as Islamic terrorism. Shaykh also raised his concerns about Muslim youth being brainwashed and recruited by extremists.
