Imam delivers lecture on Islam in Hartstown Community School
On Friday 28th March 2014, the Imam of the Islamic Centre was invited by the Hartstown Community Secondary School to speak to 3 classes about Islam and answer their questions.
Shaykh Muhammad Umar Al-Qadri delivered a talk on the Pillars of Islam and after the talk he answered the questions of the students. The students were very interested and enthusiastic to learn more about Islam and this was reflected by the any questions of the students. This was a great oppertunity for teenagers to get an understanding of the faith of almost one third of the worlds population. Ireland currently has more than 60000 Muslims and the initiative by the school to create better understanding of Islam is highly appreciated by the Islamic Centre. This will no doubt play a big role to integration of new communities in Ireland.
