H.E. Shaykh Umar Al-Qadri held a private meeting with the Pakistani Federal Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, H.E. Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, to share his concerns in detail regarding the rise of religious extremism, intolerance, persecution of non-Muslim communities and the distortion of religious concepts by so-called religious leaders in Pakistan.

H.E. Shaykh Al-Qadri shared with the Minister recommendations to combat these challenges. The Minister appreciated and welcomed the recommendations by the Shaykh and promised to stay in contact for the implications of the recommendations.
